Kiwanis St. Petersburg celebrated 100th Anniversary of Service in 2022!!
The Kiwanis Club of St. Petersburg is one of the oldest civic organizations in the city; founded in 1922, we celebrated our 100th anniversary of service!
As part of Kiwanis International we provide hands-on assistance as well as financial assistance for various causes that you can read about on this site. We also sponsor several Key Clubs at local area High Schools and a middle school Builders Club.
One of the unique aspects of our club is that we do not have mandatory meeting attendance or mandatory service project attendance requirements. While we know the more you put into something the more you get out of it, and we encourage member participation in all club activities, we also realize that todays world is hectic and we all have time constraints. Our club recognizes that and allows every member to commit to a level of involvement that suits their particular circumstances. Our club is committed to holding a very limited number of fund raising projects (currently three per year) and we encourage voluntary, anonymous donations to our non-profit arm, Youth Investment Shares, a 501-C-3 organization.
Our club has a variety of active committees that members can select to serve on. These committees are where our club work really gets done – scholarships, grants, fund-raisers and community service projects are all organized and directed by club committees, with over-sight from the club officers and Board of Directors. We make it easy to get involved at a comfortable level of commitment!
