KIWANIS CHANGES LIVES
The Kiwanis Club of St Petersburg pursues creative ways to serve the needs of the children in our community. We raise money for student scholarships and local charities. Our community service projects, weekly speaker luncheons and social events are all a big part of our club ...and we have great fun doing it!
How we make a difference in St Petersburg
-
Provided ten $1,200 grants to local non-profits helping children of our community.
-
Many hours were spent volunteering for Bluesfest, the Salvation Army kettle bell ringing, packing Lunches for Kind Mouse and other projects.
-
On going yearly, we provide four-year college scholarships to high school seniors. We gave a combined total of $30,000 for scholarships thru the Al Muter and Ron Holehouse Scholarships Fund, supporting local students.
-
A total of over $125,000 was donated to the Take Stock in
Children Scholarships, which will provide 22 students from lower
income families with a college education. -
Donated Christmas toys to over 120 foster children in Pinellas County.
