Auction Night
After months of planning, the Big Bash arrived on
Saturday, June 6, 2009 with much deserved fanfare. With
over 140 attendees, the room at St. Petersburg Country

Project Save-a-Smile - Dr. Ron O'Neal's Dentist Office
For the fourth year in a row,
Dr. Ron O’Neal hosted the annual Project
Save-A-Smile at his St. Petersburg dental office. Dr.
O’Neal and his entire team provided digital x-rays, oral
exams, sealants, cleaning and dental restorations while
dozens of volunteers entertained the needy kids.

CHRISTMAS
ANGELS GIFTS Club
members donated gifts for 100 foster kids again this
year. Representatives from the Foster Parents' Association of South
Pinellas were on-hand to thank the club and collect the gifts. For many
of these children, this may be the only gift they receive for
Christmas.

Approximately 70 needy children actually looked forward
to going to the dentist with the help of a Halloween
festival atmosphere complete with clowns, balloons, face
painting, and members of the Kiwanis Club of St.
Petersburg.

SALLie HOUSE
easter EGGs-TRAVAGANZA
Our
Club chose as its One Day Event to host an
Easter Eggs-travanganza for the children of Sallie House
on Saturday, April 10th. Sallie House is operated by the
Salvation Army providing shelter and care for children
who have been removed from their homes because of
neglect or abuse and are being moved into the foster
care program.

GREAT CHEFS of TAMPA BAY
Ron Scoggins and Kathy Condon,
co-Chairs of Young Children Priority One Committee reported that this
year's
Great Chefs event raised about $100,000 for Family Resources to help
children in our local community. Thanks go out to the many Kiwanians
who helped out on that day.

day takes a team of volunteers. The Kiwanis

Installation Banquet held lat the St. Pete Yacht Club
was a resounding success with over 100 Kiwanians and
their spouses and guests attending. The wine flowed as
Kiwanians greeted new members and old and the evening’s
business served up abundant humor and bittersweet
moments.
